I'm not always on the run. My desktop stays home and I don't have or want a laptop. 7. I already have ACDSee. Windows Photo Gallery is redundant. 8. Tuning and repair tools are of interest as long as they are out of the way and run only when I specifically initiate them. 9. Mobile again? No thank you. 10. I already have and use IE7 and its security is rather annoying. 11. No kids at home and when there were, I was the parental control. Neither the computer nor the TV were the babysitter. 12. Missing TV episodes is one of my favorite pastimes. 13. IE7 has a phishing filter that I have never used nor needed to use. 14. "Any room" is already a media room. The media room is the living room. Media use in any other room is for those who don't want the media in the media room. 15. "Auto" backup by the O/S won't impress me until the O/S changes and labels disks for me and goes to the store to buy more when needed. 16. Windows Easy Transfer removes the HDDs from the old computer and installs them in the new computer for me? I'm impressed but I don't believe it. 17. Windows Sidebar is intrusive, annoying, and has no content that I want on the desktop. 18. Backup again? See #15. 19. My PC becomes a super-powered TV set? How does an O/S turn a 22" monitor into a 72" monitor? or even a 42" monitor like the one in the living room? ...not to mention turning $75 (ave, each) computer speakers into $500 (ave, each) speakers like the ones in the living room? 20. Networking a snap? When the sole purpose of a network is give someone else the ability and access to fuck up your shit, why do I want this to be a snap? Three computers in the house, each in a different room, none in the living room where the TV is...how do we play and watch on the TV screen? 22. 3D Flip? Taskbar: select w/o rotating. Pure glitz. 23. Digital candy store? What is new or even interesting here? 24. I don't worry about spyware and I don't want anything scanning in the background. 25. ReadyBoost might actually be useful. 45. You haven't gotten yet, have you? Trying to be all things to all people results in providing crappy, 1/2 assed solutions. I have a stereo system for audio, an HD TV for video, a computer for computing. I don't have a console for gaming because that is another 1/2 assed solution. 46. Already got Media Player 11 and don't use this 47. Isn't this the same as #46?? 48. He flies to buiding and hovers near the balcony. He shouts to the guy on the balcony: "Where are we?" The man shouts back: "In a helicopter." The pilot signals thanks and flies off straight to the airport. When they have landed his friend asks, "How did that help?" The pilot replied, "The help that he gave was absolutely accurate and totally useless. Therefore, I knew we were at the Microsoft Redmond Campus and I know how to get from there to the airport." 64. PC = "personal computer" What is there about personal that you don't understand? I don't share my PC 65.The O/S has a hardware scanner in the box? Kewl!!! It's a computer, not a hi fi system. 87. Or play a real game like UT2004. Hopefully the Vista video drivers are up to it. [crosses fingers and prays] 88. DirectX 10 now we are starting to talk...hopefully we won't have to wait too long for an actual DX10 game to get released [crosses fingers again] 89.
